I have been called on my cell phone numerous times by this company over the past 3-4 weeks. They are calling for a "Marcos/Marcus" who lives/lived on South Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo.

I do not know this person, nor do I have any relationship with this person. When I ask the company why they are calling, they simply say it's a "personal matter," and ask me if I am his wife. I have asked them why they are calling and what is the nature of their call, but the person gives no further information.

I have asked this company to stop calling this number and to remove my number from their list. It is very clear to me that they are simply calling his old number and that I have been given it since many old cell numbers are recycled. I have only had my number since October 2007.

The number they are calling from is 410-202-0027 and possibly 866-471-9387.

I have definitely been called the following times by someone who said her name was "Rita" from "RPM":

8:28 am, Jul 1, 08

7:37 pm, Jul 8, 08

7:17 pm, Jul 9, 08

There have been messages left for a "Marcos/Marcus" to call back an 866 number with the same following digits as the 410 number. Unfortunately I erased those messages.

I would like these calls to stop. I am tired of being harassed by the employees of this company who cannot take "do not call" for an answer.

I smypathize with you. As I am a current employee of this co that scams and harrasses people please let me shed some light. It is against the law for us to give you and 3rd party disclosure, and therefore we can only tell you that the call is a personal matter "all you have to do is lie to us and tell us your his wife if you want to know what the call is for"....then tell us you lied and call back in and report that a debt collector is in trouble for breaking the law and disclosing 3rd party information to anyone who is not the debtor or their legal spouse. Also make sure that you were nice to the caller. If someone is mean or upset or gives us an attitude when we call. if someone is rude or upset in anyway we do not change the number to a "do not call" number out of revenge for you being mean to us on the phone. Also it may be too late. If you piss us off too much with a bad attitude or tone of voice we may have already put in the notes for the number "do not change, debtor lies, this is right number, never change or make a do not call, keep calling no matter what debtor says," so even if you tell us it's a wrong number it may be too late and we may have marked in the notes your a lier, and to keep calling no matter what you say. I'm leaving rpm because of these unethical practices but before I do, just know I'm here to help.
